Do I need to set up my Testing Accommodations every Quarter?

Yes, you must meet with your DSS Counselor or LD Specialist every quarter to discuss course specific accommodations.

How are my accommodations determined?

Accommodations are authorized based on the student's disability-related educational limitation(s) and the evaluative activities in the course. For this reason, students should always bring the course syllabus or outline whenever they meet with their DSS Counselor or LD Specialist or the Test Proctor to discuss test accommodations.

My class meets outside of the operating hours of the Testing Center, What do I do?

If your course meets outside of our operating hours, please discuss with your instructor booking your appointments at an earlier time then the class meeting

I forgot to book my testing appointment! What should i do?

If you realize that you have forgotten to book an appointment after the deadline students are asked to adhere to, it is likely that you will have to take the test/quiz in class with the in-class duration. Contact your instructor to discuss this and inform the test proctor with their response.

Can i only schedule an appointment for exams?

Students may schedule testing appointments for the following:

  • Exams

  • quizzes

  • "Pop-Quizzes" - requires coordination with test proctor and instructor.

  • Placement tests - must met with DSS or LD Specialist to discuss first

I may require my testing materials to be in an alternate format, what do i do?

Students that require their testing materials converted will need to contact their DSS Counselor or LD specialist as soon as possible to discuss their needs. *Some conversions could take up to 2 weeks.
