Critical Thinking Guides All on the Pathway:
What are "Guided Pathways"? Be a part of collaborating on the design!

Your voice (counselors, faculty members, classified professionals, students, administrators) is needed to guide the work.

This year, our Convocation is aimed at concentrating on our Critical Thinking competency in the campus mission statement and increasing awareness and interest in Guided Pathways, a national, state, and local initiative to reduce barriers and support students through their journey to completion.

Tentative Schedule: (Date: Friday, February 22, 2019)

9-11 a.m. (Kirsch Center – room 115) General Session:

  • LOAC recipients (Kristin Skager – English Department & Reading Department) with focus on AB 705 and collaboration of two departments (9:00-9:15)
  • Guided Pathways (9:15-11:00)

11:15 a.m.-noon (Kirsch Center): Breakout sessions topics to include AB 705, Critical Thinking, Guided Pathways

1 p.m.
(Fireside): Lunch

1-3 p.m. (various): Classified and faculty working on Student Services and Instructional Program Review and/or assessments of outcomes.
