About Me

I am a part-time faculty member in the Math Department and an Instructional Support Technician for the Math Performance Success (MPS) program. I have more than 17 years of experience in teaching and tutoring at all levels of lower-division mathematics, from basic arithmetic through calculus, with stops at statistics, linear algebra and discrete mathematics.

I grew up in the Bay Area and am a product of the California community colleges, having attended San Francisco City College and College of the Redwoods in Eureka, California. After graduating from Humboldt State University, I moved with my wife to Portland, Oregon for her medical education. I earned a master's of science degree in Mathematics from Portland State University.
