Development of molecular structure from rudimentary quantum mechanics, including an introduction to ionic and covalent bonding. Chemical problem solving involving both formula and reaction stoichiometry employing the unit analysis method. An introduction to thermochemistry and a discussion of the first law of thermodynamics.
